Alton Towers - 2 Days

Day 1 - Early start. Travel to Alton Towers for a full day of fun. After park closes at 6.00pm, 1 night half board at The Quality Hotel, Stoke-on-Trent.*

Day 2 - Another full day at Alton Towers, leaving for home at 4.00pm.

Legoland Windsor

It's not just Lego! It is a fantastic day out for the whole family! LEGOLAND Windsor not only provides a fabulous day out for the kids, but also has a wealth of attractions to entertain the whole family. Key attractions include: Dragon Coaster, Pirate Falls, Wave Surfer, Jungle Coaster, Driving School.

Children can enjoy a thrilling firework display, ride on one of the thrilling rollercoasters, learn to drive at the Driving School, pan for gold, brave the Pirate Falls log flume, or explore Miniland, which is made from millions of LEGO bricks. Open between 10.00 and 17.00, there is plenty of time to explore all the attractions on offer and you should allow the full day to appreciate the park.

Edinburgh Military Tattoo - 4 Days

The spectacular Edinburgh Military Tattoo celebrates over 500 years of music and spectacle, and has become one of the world's greatest shows. Set against the amazing backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the Tattoo's blend of music, ceremony, entertainment and theatre from around the globe is a magical experience.

Day 1 - Day off at your leisure.

Day 2 - To Edinburgh for evening performance and shopping.

Day 3 - Day off at your leisure.

Day 4 - Return home.

Isle of Wight - 5 Days

The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of year. It is a stunning island boasting unspoilt scenery, a wealth of fascinating attractions and is home to some of the most diverse countryside in the UK, from the chalk ridge running across the island's centre, to the sandy beaches and its ports, long favoured by the yachting set.

Full Day - Morning excursion to Appuldurcombe House. Once the grandest and

most striking house on the Isle of Wight, Appuldurcombe's 18th Century baroque elegance is still notable today in the partly restored building, and visitors can admire the delightful east front and stroll through 'Capability' Brown's idyllic ornamental 11 acres of grounds. The attraction also boasts an Owl and Falconry Centre, which offers daily flying displays. Continue to the Isle of Wight Glass attraction to witness the production and fascinating craft of glassmaking. Finish the day at the Ventnor Botanic Garden. This 22 acre attraction is a place where many rare and exotic species flourish in the equitable climate of the Undercliffe.

Full Day - Morning excursion to the Brading Roman Villa, where a new three million pound exhibition and visitor centre depicts the story of this C4th Roman Villa. Continue to Havenstreet for a genuine vintage train ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. The 10 mile round trip is operated by carriages which date back to the 1870's. Our day will conclude at Osborne House, which was the former seaside home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, preserved much as it was when the Queen died here in 1901.

Paris in the Spring - 5 Days

The mighty monuments of this proud city tell of the splendor of days gone by. From the Louvre, and Sacre Coeur to Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, the history of Paris is brought to life. Contrasting beautifully with this is the modern and chic feel the city has, with an abundance of quality shops, gourmet restaurants and lively bars to choose from.

Day 1 - Full day at leisure to explore the mighty monuments and museums which this majestic city has to offer.

Day 2 - This morning, we will embark on a half day guided tour of Paris, whose sights

include Notre Dame, the Rue de Rivoli, the Louvre, the Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe and finally the magical Eiffel Tower, providing the ultimate vantage point from which to view the city. After visiting the Eiffel Tower, embark on a 1-hour River Seine Cruise. Each of the three boats, which Bateaux Parisiens operate can accomodate 600 passengers, and the on board commentary is available in 12 different languages.

Day 3 - Full day excursion to visit the little old hunting lodge built by Louise XIII in 1623, which today stands as the magnificent Palace of Versailles. It is hard to believe today that the gardens, with many superb statues and fountains, were created from swampland.

Mini Cruise to Ostend - 5 Days

A popular seaside resort, Ostend has wide sandy beaches, and a wonderful array of shops, markets, restaurants, lively bars and a casino. Also, this bustling harbour city is in a prime central location.

Full Day - Embark on a full day excursion to Bruges. Famous for its lace shops, magnificent churches and chocolate, it is a wonderfully characteristic city, with cobbled streets and miles of canals lined by wonderful old brick houses. Later, embark on a 2-hour tour of Bruges, whose principle sights include Burg Square and Town Hall, Old Registry of Civil Liberties, the Cathedral of our Holy Saviour, Church of our Lady and the Church of Jerusalem. After time

at leisure for lunch, make a visit to the Choco-Story attraction in Bruges. At this museum, the chocoholic gets to find out about the production of chocolate truffles, hollow figures and chocolate bars. The attraction incorporates a chololate shop.

Althorp House - 3 Days

A special visit to the childhood home of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Althorp House and gardenshas been the home of the Spencer family for 19 generations, and remains one of the few landed estates still privately owned by its forebears. Since the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales and sister of the current Earl Spencer, followed by her burial on the grounds of Althorp, this fascinating country house is specially opened by Earl Spencer every July and August in order for people to pay their

respects to 'the People's Princess', to discover the private life of Diana growing up in these aristocratic surroundings and take a look at a living house owned by the same family for generations.

Full Day - Morning excursion to Althorp House and Gardens. A 3-hour tour incorporates both the house and gardens, not forgetting the memorial to Diana, situated on an island in the middle of a lake. Continue this afternoon to Startford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespear, which is steeped in culture and history. Set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, Stratford-upon-Avon is one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK. Group members will have time at leisure to visit the Shakespearian Properties and the Waterside Theatre, or take a cruise on the picturesque river Avon.

Lourdes - 9 Days

Day 1 - Travel to the continent, staying overnight in Royen, France.

Day 2 - Travel through France to Le Tours.

Day 3 - Travel on to Lourdes

Day 4 - At Lourdes for four nights.

Day 5 - day off at your leisure.

Day 6 - Morning visit to Avignon to visit the great Papal Palace. Take a cruise from Avignon, before continuing to Chateauneuf-du-Pape to visit the Wine Makers museum. Finish the day with a tasting at a local wine cellar.

Day 7 - Morning tour of Nimes, whos sights include an Amphitheatre, the Temple Tower and Agustus Gate. Continue to the UNESCO listed Pont du Gard to see the most famous of all Roman Aquaducts. Finish the day with a visit to the medieval town of Uzes.

Day 8 - Day off at your leisure. Return journey through France as above.
